I want to be honest with you. I'm a woman who has been through this process herself. I know what it feels like to sit in the pool, refresh the IRCC page, and wonder — is my profile strong enough? Right now, in June 2026, Canadian immigration is moving faster than most applicants realize. Between January 5 and May 28 alone, IRCC held 30 Express Entry draws and issued 79,841 invitations to apply. Alberta ran seven AAIP draws in just two weeks. And the system has fundamentally changed — your NOC code and occupation now matter as much as your CRS score.

Meanwhile, there are 38,353 Worker EOIs in Alberta's pool — and only 3,534 nomination spaces remaining for the rest of the year.
Do the math. Less than 10 percent of people waiting will get through this year. In immigration, system and strategy matter just as much as eligibility. Knowing you qualify is the entry ticket. Knowing how to move through the system — that's what gets you to the finish line.

Between January and May 28, 2026, IRCC issued 79,841 invitations across 30 draws. And yet — thousands of people in the pool received nothing. I'll show you which category fits your profile, what CRS cut-offs have looked like, and what your fastest realistic path to an ITA is right now.

2. A Policy That Expired June 27 — Did It Affect Your Status?

A temporary public policy that allowed certain work permit holders to study in Canada without a separate study permit expired on June 27, 2026. I'll walk you through exactly who is affected and what to do right now to protect your plan.

3. The June 1 Shake-Up — Spousal Work Permits, Study Permits, PGWP: What Changed

On June 1, 2026, Canada made the most significant policy shift in temporary residence since the post-pandemic surge. If you or your spouse holds a study permit, a spousal work permit, or is enrolled in a program expecting PGWP eligibility — your situation may have changed. We'll explain what this means for your PR pathway.

4. Alberta's Numbers — The Math Nobody Is Showing You Clearly

The Alberta Opportunity Stream has 24,187 EOIs competing for 1,899 remaining spaces. That is less than 8 percent. This is not cause for panic. It is cause for strategy. I'll show you how to position your EOI to be in the 8 percent — not the 92.

5. What Alberta's June Draws Are Telling Us

Alberta ran draws almost every day in June 2026. Alberta is running small, frequent, sector-targeted draws. This is not one big open door — it's many small, specific ones. I'll decode this data and show you what it means for your EOI score, your sector, and your timing.
